Climate Change Program Coordinator

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support the planning and coordination of international events related to climate change. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT and Logistics team to ensure the smooth execution of events such as the Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Sessions, Bureau meetings, Expert Meetings, Workshops, Scoping Meetings, Webinars, and IPCC events at the UNFCCC COPs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparatory work, planning, and logistics for conducting the IPCC Sessions, Bureau, Expert, and other types of meetings, including engagement with the host country team;
- Support the organization and conducting of events, ensuring that all logistical arrangements are in place;
- Design, compile, and report on surveys conducted by the Secretariat, as needed, with relevant background notes/papers;
- Maintain internal planning tools and calendars to support strategic planning;
- Plan and prepare for the UNFCCC pavilions/events and related logistics;
- Coordinate with the WMO conference unit and interpreters' pool during IPCC Sessions;
- Assist delegates during sessions and meetings with registration and onsite support.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree or equivalent in Business Management or Computer Sciences;
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience, requiring planning and coordination skills to handle multiple events in parallel under guidance;
- Experience in designing and processing surveys, writing reports, and synthesizing information, as well as familiarity with IT tools;
- Excellent knowledge of English (both oral and written); knowledge of other official languages is an advantage.
