Job Description

Job Summary:

The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Specialist to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and mitigating risks across the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of risk awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify areas of high risk, developing mitigation plans to address these risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management strategies and ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on risk management best practices and ensure that all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities in managing risk.
  • Monitor and report on risk management activities, providing regular updates to senior management and the Risk Management Committee.
  • Develop and maintain risk management dashboards and reports to provide visibility into risk exposure and mitigation efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, ensuring that the organization's risk management strategies are aligned with these requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in risk management, with a strong background in developing and implementing risk management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

Language Requirements:

Fluency in English and Spanish is required. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
