The OpportunityWe are seeking a Biomarker Experimental Medicine Lead to join our Ophthalmology team in Basel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing forward and reverse translational biomarker strategies during pre-clinical and clinical phases of individual drug development programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement biomarker-related activities for quantifying drug response and selecting patients
- Lead the BioX Expert Team as a Matrix Leader and collaborate with academic, industry, internal, and external experts
- Provide scientific and strategic input into overall drug and clinical development plans
- PhD and/or MD degree with at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in research, industry, or clinical settings
- Strong publication record or equivalent contributions
- Experience in translational and/or clinical development of biomarkers
- Ability to lead cross-functional matrix teams and drive team decisions
