Digital Biomarker Data Management Architect

The Role

At Roche, we're revolutionizing the way we develop personalized medicines for patients through digital health technology. Our team is dedicated to creating community- and regulator-accepted digital endpoints and outcomes that redefine disease progression measurement in clinical drug trials. We're seeking a Data Operations Lead to drive data-related topics in the operationalization of our digital biomarker products across multiple disease areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize data-driven procedures to support digital biomarker study setups and operations, including digital device/app quality control, adherence monitoring, and data transfer quality control.
  • Co-develop and maintain external and internal data standards to ensure seamless data flow during data processing steps from raw sensor data to customer-provided data transfer files.
  • Be the technical owner of our signal processing algorithms library to extract meaningful information from raw sensor data.
  • Contribute to improving and automating data processing and analysis pipelines across programs.
  • Lead activities in matrix teams and serve as the main interface between data analysis, clinical integration, and deployment teams.

Requirements

  • Strong university degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, statistics, or natural science.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development and data engineering, with optional signal processing experience.
  • Experience working in a goal-oriented manner with customers in mind.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for digital health technologies.
  • Strong experience working at interfaces between signal processing experts and software developers.
  • Experience working collaboratively within large teams and managing time against competing demands.
  • Proficient in Python, with additional knowledge in other software packages/languages welcome.
  • Excellent English language skills and writing abilities.
