Job Title: EHS Specialist
Job Summary:
The EHS Specialist will support the EHS group during the maternity leave of one employee. This role involves managing specific environmental, health and safety programs and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and our client's internal rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update EHS policies per Swiss and EU standards, ensuring 100% compliance.
- Maintain environmental records and respond to regulatory changes.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage incident investigations.
- Update emergency response plans and manage corrective actions (CAPAs).
- Deliver EHS training and lead awareness campaigns.
- Conduct safety inspections, self-assessments, and manage CAPAs.
- Provide EHS oversight for new projects and construction supervision.
Requirements:
- Successfully completed bachelor's and/or master's degree in an environmental or safety-related technical discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Documented knowledge of Swiss and EU EHS regulations and regulatory framework.
- Certification as Swiss AS&GS (Arbeitssicherheit & Gesundheitsschutz) or equivalent.
- Solid German skills, as well as very good English skills.
- Experience in financial management, compliance, and safety management systems.
- Skills applying regulatory frameworks such as EKAS, OSHA, ISO, GMP.
- Proven ability to develop sustainable cooperative professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
