Clinical Veterinary Pathologist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pathologist to join our team at IDEXX Reference Laboratories. As a Clinical Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing diagnostic evaluation and consultation services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide gross and/or microscopic examination of clinical pathology specimens and prepare pathology reports in a timely manner.
- Meet caseload and turnaround expectations.
- Provide telephone consultations to clients.
- Consult with and assist other pathologists as needed to promote collegiality.
- Partner with laboratory personnel to ensure proper specimen processing techniques.
- Participate in quality control programs.
- Maintain proficiency and develop diagnostic skills through regular continuing education.
Requirements:
- Fluency in English and German, French and/or Italian is a plus.
- Familiarity with current topics and issues in clinical veterinary medicine.
- Ability to type and use dictation equipment.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Computer skills are required.
- Experience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory is preferred.
Certifications:
- Board certification in clinical pathology - American College of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP) or European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP) preferred.
- Applications from board eligible pathologists are also encouraged.
