Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sustainability Data Scientist to join our team in Switzerland. As a key member of our science department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing methodologies behind our life cycle assessments for agri-food products.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in life cycle analysis and carbon accounting, with a strong background in modeling food products. You will work closely with our technology department to bring real-time and scalable sustainability data to clients, while collaborating with policy makers and industry stakeholders to promote sustainable practices.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the scientific framework for our life cycle assessments
  • Oversee the development and implementation of our automated carbon accounting standard
  • BUILD STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS WITH INDUSTRY EXPERTS AND STAKEHOLDERS TO ADVANCE SUSTAINABILITY GOALS
  • Apply your expertise in life cycle analysis to all stages of business, from product development to sales and company vision
  • Collaborate with our founders to improve and scale our operations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • In-depth experience with life cycle analysis for agri-food products, product carbon footprints, and carbon accounting
  • Expertise in tools and databases such as Ecoinvent, SimaPro, and Gabi
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment, including the greenhouse gas protocol, ISO 14040, and ISO 14044
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in other languages (e.g., German) being advantageous
  • A deep understanding of the latest trends and developments in climate change mitigation
