Specialty Cheese Team Member

Kowalski's Markets is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence in our Cheese Department. As a Specialty Cheese Team Member, you will play a vital role in achieving this goal.

During your tenure, you will have the opportunity to work with various Cheese Managers at different store locations, gaining valuable experience and skills in customer service, production, product knowledge, ordering, merchandising, and inventory management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment for customers
  • Assisting in the achievement of sales goals and maintaining high product standards
  • Participating in Cheese Classes and developing product knowledge
  • Collaborating with the Specialty Cheese Manager to maintain accurate signage and pricing
  • Conducting inventories and meeting budgeted gross profit benchmarks
  • Ensuring proper handling, sanitation, and quality of product standards
  • Assisting in managing other Cheese Team Members within the department

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting/carrying up to 90 lbs.
  • Pushing/pulling up to 200 lb. loads
  • Operating equipment such as box cutters, carts, cheese slicers, and knives
  • Reaching, standing, stooping, bending, turning, walking, and ladder climbing
