As a Wind Technician at NextEra Energy, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and optimal performance of all equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and long-term reliability.
This role focuses on implementing operation safety policies, conducting fieldwork in compliance with regulations, encouraging good employee safety practices, and driving an unparalleled employee safety culture. Additional duties include participating in Business Lean Six Sigma processes, recruiting and developing technicians, supporting site managers, collaborating with internal users, presenting a positive professional representation of the company, and traveling to the U.S. as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment
- Complete electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Maintain all company supplied equipment, facilities, and tooling
- Apply basic understanding of technical and process functions
- Manage own training schedules and meet all training requirements within designated time frames
- Able to meet attendance requirements
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
