Senior Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Controller to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance activities of our family office, including financial systems, management reporting, and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Systems: Develop and maintain robust, efficient, and intuitive financial systems to support our business operations.
- Management Reporting: Provide timely and accurate management reporting across investment and private affairs, including P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and KPIs.
- Budgeting: Develop annual budgets and forecasts to ensure the financial sustainability of our business.
- Cash Flow Management: Analyze and manage cash flow across all projects and entities to ensure sufficient liquidity to meet upcoming payments and capital calls.
- Liquidity Management: Manage liquidity, including payments, cash available, deposits, and MMF.
- Investment Management: Manage Private Equity fund investment calls, distributions, tax documents, KYC/AML, and other document requests by funds, and liaise with banks.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and check distributions received.
- Public Equities: Book all trades in the GL, reconcile positions and cash to broker statements on a monthly basis.
- Real Estate: Analyze costs and income on residential real estate investments.
- Ad Hoc Requests: Be responsive to any ad hoc information or analysis requests from our Principal.
- Year-End Close: Prepare for year-end close, including reconciliations, annual accounts, consolidation, tax reporting, and audit coordination.
- Offshore Trusts: Deal with any reporting requirements for offshore trusts and entities.
- Investment Statements: Prepare statements of account for select investments managed on behalf of other family members.
- Payment Management: Manage payment and monitoring of receivables and payables.
- Tax Management: Manage tax returns and tax filings, including W8-BENs, FATCA declarations, and tax optimization and compliance of wealth structures.
- Document Management: Retain, archive, and centralize supporting documents, including supplier contracts and invoices, and consolidate and archive legal documents.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with experience managing the general ledger in a financial organization, extensive management and statutory accounts experience, and experience working with different investments. They will also have good Excel skills, excellent written and verbal English, strong attention to detail, high personal integrity and discretion, and be self-motivating and solutions-oriented.
