R&D and Technology Support Specialist

Rieter is a leading supplier of systems for manufacturing yarn from staple fibers in spinning mills. Our company, based in Switzerland, develops and manufactures machinery, systems, and components used to convert natural and man-made fibers and their blends into yarns in the most cost-efficient manner. Our cutting-edge spinning technology contributes to sustainability in the textile value chain by minimizing the use of resources. With over 225 years of experience, we have 18 production locations in ten countries and employ a global workforce of around 5,100, about 16% of whom are based in Switzerland.

We are seeking an experienced multilingual Assistant to support our Head of R&D and Technology. This is a permanent assignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the scheduling of Business Group meetings, including organizing single meetings and managing meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up items.
  • Maintain the calendar, manage expenses, and perform further administrative tasks for the Head of R&D and Technology.
  • Arrange travel plans and travel agendas and provide support in the case of changes.
  • Assist with presentations, reports, and internal communications, ensuring presentation standards and timelines are followed by the Management Team.
  • Support the Management Team where needed, including Management meetings and visits.
  • Act as a focal point of contact for other departments and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the global executive assistants' team to ensure successful execution of the group calendar, meetings with the Management Team, events, and projects.
  • Plan, lead, and manage projects and events of different magnitude.
  • Handle confidential information professionally.
Requirements
  • Commercial apprenticeship or bachelor's degree in business administration.
  • Previous direct executive support of at least 5 years in a multinational company in the position of Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant, or similar.
  • Experience in other commercial or administrative functions at a senior level is an advantage.
  • Proficient in communication and office technologies, particularly MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Teams.
  • Ability to navigate in an international corporate environment.
  • Experienced with calendar management and travel scheduling and booking.
  • Ability to write minutes and corresponding to-do lists.
  • Ability to recognize where processes can be improved and take the initiative to improve them.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels and departments within the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English and German.
  • Experience leading small to medium-sized projects and events.
