Senior Proposal Manager - Defence Sales

Pilatus Aircraft Ltd is seeking a skilled Senior Proposal Manager to join its Government Aviation Sales team in Stans, Switzerland.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in managing bids and proposals for defence customers, as well as excellent leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bids, proposals, and responses to requests for information for the Government Aviation Sales team
  • Define bid teams and manage inputs from various departments to ensure high-quality responses
  • Lead proposal kick-off meetings and coordinate with other teams accordingly
  • Develop consistency in approach for bids and proposals across new sales from Government Aviation
  • Ensure internal compliance with applicable processes and procedures
  • Collaborate closely with the Contract Management team to address commercial elements of bids and proposals effectively

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance, with experience in project management and preparing proposals for defence customers
  • Formal training in proposal development, such as the Shipley method, and project management qualifications like PMP certification
  • Proven ability to lead large cross-functional teams in response to complex defence procurement requirements
  • Experience in preparing and leading responses to defence contracting requests for proposals
  • Fluent written and spoken English; German is an asset
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
