About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead our global procurement initiatives across key categories, including energy, utilities, real estate, construction, tech services, corporate services, and indirect supplies. This is a pivotal role in our newly globalized procurement and sourcing function, where you will be responsible for managing and aligning practices across a diverse and international team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Global Procurement Strategies: Drive efficiencies, cost savings, and innovation across the organization by developing and implementing global procurement strategies for key categories.
  • Establish and Harmonize Procurement Practices: Ensure that all regional teams are aligned with the company's overall procurement strategy by establishing and harmonizing procurement practices worldwide.
  • Lead a Global Procurement Team: Oversee and manage a global procurement team, with direct reports based in Switzerland and other international locations.
  • Optimize Supplier Relationships: Identify opportunities to mutualize contracts across regions and categories, optimizing supplier relationships and leveraging global scale for better terms and conditions.
  • Support Business Objectives: Work closely with internal stakeholders across all regions to identify needs, forecast demand, and implement procurement strategies that support business objectives.
  • Develop the International Procurement Structure: Ensure it supports the globalization of the function while maintaining regional agility and responsiveness.
  • Monitor Procurement Performance: Establish and monitor procurement performance through KPIs, ensuring consistent reporting on cost savings, supplier performance, and operational efficiency across regions.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in a procurement or category management role with a strong track record of managing teams across multiple locations, particularly in a global or international context.
  • Category Management Experience: Experience in managing categories such as energy, utilities, real estate, construction, tech services, and corporate services.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and federate a diverse and international team, aligning them with global strategies while respecting regional nuances.
  • Technical Skills: Strong command of SAP.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Proficiency in French or German is a plus.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to work with key stakeholders in a multicultural environment and at various levels.
  • Analytical Mindset: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change in a complex, global environment.
