Job Summary

Unilabs is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our Accounting and Reporting team. As a Finance Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting and financial reporting, including financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Swiss Code of Obligations and IFRS reporting standards.
    • Support the preparation and review of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Tax Compliance & Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Perform data analysis to support the finance team in decision-making, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
    • Assist in the preparation of VAT and CIT returns, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
    • Prepare various financial reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department, implementing changes to enhance productivity and accuracy.
    • Assist in the Accounting ERP migration projects, ensuring a smooth transition to new systems.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (Swiss CO and IFRS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Proficiency in English and French, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
