Salary: CHF 120,000 - 180,000 per year

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Symfony) who excels in deep technical challenges and takes full ownership of projects. As a key team member, you will tackle complex fintech systems, reason about architecture, and drive meaningful improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and mentorship to junior developers
  • Analyze, maintain, and improve Symfony-based projects
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations
  • Bring fresh ideas to the table, influencing technology choices and development practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Requirements:

  • Degree in IT or Software Development, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Symfony (preferably SF4+) and ApiPlatform
  • Practical knowledge of Docker and Message Queue systems
  • Experienced with testing tools such as PHPUnit or Behat
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology and continuous deployment
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive approach
  • Language Proficiency: English (B2 level or higher); German is a plus
  • Geographic Requirement: Based in Europe
