High-Performance Computing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a High-Performance Computing Specialist.
This role will involve working on the development of cutting-edge solutions for real-time data processing in the CMS Level-1 trigger system. As part of a small, highly motivated team, you will be responsible for developing an online processing solution and contributing to the conception and design of a prototype distributed processing system.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in modern memory and interconnect architectures and experience in programming languages such as C++, Python, and Linux environments. In addition, knowledge of serial bus standards (e.g., PCIe) and networking protocols will be an asset.
As a member of our team, you will work closely with physicists and engineers to design and demonstrate an online infrastructure capable of handling high-rate, high-volume data streams, ensuring scalability for the upgraded CMS experiment.
In terms of qualifications, applicants must have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Computing or a related field and hold either a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Furthermore, they must not have had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before and should not possess a PhD.
The position involves residence in the immediate vicinity of the Organization's installations and includes a 24-month contract duration with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
