About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Data Infrastructure Strategist to join our team and lead the design and implementation of our enterprise-wide data platform. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for architecting and operating the platform on Microsoft Azure and Snowflake, ensuring seamless integration with our existing data and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Design the architecture of the platform, aligning it with the firm's goals and objectives.
- Lead decision-making and opinion alignment within the project team.
- Operate, manage, and optimize the performance of the data platform, ensuring high availability and reliability in collaboration with the internal cloud team.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to ensure the platform remains fit for the future.
- At least 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and operating a large cloud-based data platform, preferably in the finance or technology industry.
- Academic degree in computer science, engineering, or similar.
- Leadership skills in guiding and mentoring a development team, aligning opinions, and establishing best practices.
- Strong skills in modern development practices, including DevOps and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with migrating on-prem (data warehouse) systems to the cloud is valuable.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability in English.
