ASIC Validation Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled ASIC Validation Engineer to join our R&D team at Knowles Corporation. As a key player in the development and production of MEMS microphone ASICs, you will be responsible for designing and implementing lab validation environments to ensure successful device development and production ramp-ups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design team to develop a comprehensive validation plan that meets device specifications and system expectations.
- Design and implement validation concepts for mixed-signal MEMS microphone ASICs.
- Develop hardware and software for automated validation benches.
- Design, layout, and assemble validation PCBs.
- Develop Python automated environments for measurement and post-processing.
- Exhaustively characterize ASICs to validate performance and robustness.
- Analyze results with the design team and create detailed validation reports.
- Support root cause analysis and failure analysis.
- Mentor Lab Engineers in the US and Asia.
- Supervise interns.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in the semiconductor or related industry.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a dynamic, high-pace environment.
- Experience in designing printed circuit boards using EDA tools such as KiCad.
- Experience in measuring high-performance electronic circuits.
- Solid experience in developing Python programs.
- Familiarity with IC micro-probing and physical failure analysis is a plus.
- Structured working style and good organizational skills.
- Strong team player with excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
