Are you ready to take your career to new heights? We're seeking a highly skilled Bid Manager to join our Government Aviation team at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd.
About the Role
We're looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in bid management, proposal development, and defence contracting. As a Bid Manager, you'll be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to develop and submit winning bids for government aviation contracts.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage bids, proposals, and responses to requests for information for government aviation sales and capture management teams
- Define bid teams and manage inputs to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and quality of response
- Support and/or lead proposal kick-off meetings and tasking other departments and teams accordingly
- Ensure consistency of approach for bids and proposals for new sales from government aviation
- Adhere to internal compliance processes and procedures
- Advise sales and capture management teams on processes and procedures and work closely with the contract management team to ensure commercial elements of bids and proposals are adequately addressed
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or project management with experience in project management and preparing proposals for defence customers
- Formal training in proposal development and/or bid management, such as the Shipley method, and formal project management qualifications, such as PMP certification
- Proven ability to lead and manage large cross-functional bid teams in response to complex defence procurement requirements
- Experience in preparing and leading responses in defence contracting requests for proposals
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential, with German being an advantage
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office tools are essential
