Job Title: Investment Manager
As an Investment Manager at Verve Ventures, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and investing in the best European tech startups, as well as building thought leadership and relevant networks in your investment topic.
Main Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing & Pipeline Building - Identify and screen the European market for top-tier tech startups.
- Deal Assessment - Conduct thorough due diligences and evaluate and negotiate investments.
- Deal Execution - Lead negotiations with startups and co-investors from Verve Ventures' side, review, negotiate, and approve legal documents.
- Portfolio Management & Exit - Actively support portfolio companies on their growth path, represent Verve Ventures' interests at board level, and develop exit strategies.
- Build & Maintain a strong network in the industry - Position and represent Verve Ventures by attending key industry events.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- a Master's degree or PhD, ideally in a Technical or Natural Science field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a venture capital investor in a technology-related area, including investments from sourcing to final execution and portfolio responsibility.
- strong analytical thinking, ability to prioritize, and manage a large amount of tasks in parallel, thriving in a dynamic environment.
- an entrepreneurial mindset: identifying opportunities, overcoming obstacles, and making things happen.
- full written and spoken fluency in English (German and/or French as additional languages are a plus).
