Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe management and operation of the ship, prioritizing the safety of guests and crew.
  • Assist the First Captain in managing the ship in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
  • Perform tasks necessary for safe command of the vessel, including assisting with safety and security procedures and documents.
  • Take command of the ship when required, demonstrating leadership and decision-making skills.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in German and/or English language.
  • Valid Captain licenses for Rhine/Danube/Elbe and/or other rivers.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Radar and Radio Transmission licenses.
  • Certificates for 'Safety Expert for Passenger Vessels' and 'First Aid' are highly valued.
  • A friendly and work-oriented personality.
