River Advice AG is a leading independent manager of river passenger ships worldwide.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced River Vessel Commander to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ship management in cooperation with the 2nd Captain, managing and instructing nautical crew, and assisting with docking, sailing, and maneuvering of the ship.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and assigning tasks to Sailors and Deckhands for the ship's maintenance
  • Basic and advanced training of Sailors
  • Managing ship's operations in accordance with existing law and regulations

Requirements:

  • Good command of German and/or English language
  • Valid Captain licenses for Rhine/Danube/Elbe and/or other rivers
  • Minimum 1 year of experience on a similar position
  • Radar and Radio Transmission licenses
  • Certificates for "Safety Expert for Passenger Vessels" and "First Aid" are a benefit
