Program Manager for Strategic Initiatives

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bid and Program Manager to join our team at Safran Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing projects and programs from initial customer inquiry through contract negotiations to project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with customers and partners
  • Identify and develop opportunities for further business generation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing projects and programs, ideally in a technical environment
  • Experience in preparing offers, leading offer teams, and conducting contract negotiations is an advantage
  • Project management certification (e.g., IPMA or PMI, either already obtained or willingness to acquire)
  • Technical degree with further education in business administration or a business degree with strong technical understanding
  • Good proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken; knowledge of French would be an advantage
