Training and Development Specialist for Small-Mid Scale Manufacturing

Job Description:
Lonza, a global leader in life sciences, is seeking a talented Training and Development Specialist to join our team in Visp, Switzerland. As a key member of our Development Services & Small-/Mid-Scale Operations department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our organization by developing and coordinating training and skill enhancement programs for our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing training needs and identifying opportunities for improvement in our manufacturing and quality operations.
- Designing and implementing comprehensive training programs that emphasize safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, testing, and performance metrics.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all training activities, participant progress, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborating with other departments to align training with organizational goals and compliance needs.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to production staff to help them understand and implement safety and quality requirements effectively.
- Participating in internal audits and inspections to ensure training effectiveness and adherence to GMP and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in adult education or the training sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly convey information, instructions, and feedback to trainees.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with people at all levels and high empathy to understand the diverse needs of different stakeholders as well as learning paces of trainees.
- Clear and conceptual thinking ability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Technical proficiency with strong computer skills, familiarity with training software, and experience developing dynamic and interactive training materials.
