Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Takeda. As a key member of our laboratory operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our testing processes.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the timely delivery of test results while upholding the highest standards of quality management practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the QC Manager to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
  • Monitor testing techniques and the accuracy and completeness of all records and documentation.
  • Guide, coach, and supervise a team of QC analysts to ensure the completion of annual performance reviews.
  • Solve problems concerning lab equipment and methods.
  • Ensure the calibration and maintenance of lab instruments.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the laboratory.
  • Manage deviations and investigations, and initiate and support Corrective and Preventive actions.
  • Perform change assessments and ensure audit readiness.
  • Supervise and participate in validation activities.

What You Bring to Takeda:

  • A Master's degree or 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a Biologics company.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and know when to escalate issues for resolution.
  • An understanding of GMP, ICH, USP, and global compendia regulations and guidance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of continuous quality/process improvement tools.
  • An enterprise mindset to ensure the right prioritization in the lab.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, focusing on meeting and tracking to schedules, and embracing an interdependent work culture.
  • People management experience, with strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead and support the QC analyst team.
  • Proven good communication with customers and suppliers.
  • Strong project management skills to support project delivery and operational readiness.
  • Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to coach and mentor self-directed teams through complex problem-solving.
