Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Gas Bearing Engineer to join our R&D team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conceiving, calculating, and designing gas bearings that meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop gas bearings that meet the requirements of high-speed rotor dynamics and system modeling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development engineers, production, and quality to ensure seamless integration of gas bearing designs
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of gas bearing design and simulation tool chains
- Support the commissioning and experimental verification of new gas bearing designs
- Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in gas bearing design, rotor dynamics, and system modeling
- Proficiency in Matlab and CAD software, such as Autodesk Inventor
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Good knowledge of German is a strong plus
