Job Description

Job Summary:

The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Specialist to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and mitigating risks across the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of risk awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify areas of high risk, developing mitigation plans to address these risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management strategies and ensure effective communication and training.
  • Monitor and report on risk management activities, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain risk management dashboards and reports to track and analyze risk data.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on risk management best practices and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments, ensuring that risk management strategies and policies are aligned with best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in risk management, with a strong background in regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and risk management software.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be based in Geneva, Switzerland, and will be required to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The candidate will be expected to travel occasionally for meetings and training.
