About the Role

At Tecan, we're seeking a skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our Corporate R&D team. As a key contributor to our software product portfolio, you'll be responsible for further customer-specific developments and adaptations in the diagnostic area. Your expertise will be invaluable in creating products for biotechnological and diagnostic applications in laboratory automation.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design, generate, and execute automated and semi-tests to ensure high-quality software products
  • Further develop and test our internal test automation framework to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Mentor and support other Test Automation Engineers to enhance team capabilities
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on verification tasks, applying your knowledge of test automation design patterns
  • Write automated and semi-automated tests on the integration and E2E level to guarantee seamless product performance

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Technical or scientific education in software engineering or a similar field
  • At least 6 years of experience as a test automation engineer or software developer in test, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Expertise in designing complex test automation models and E2E Test Automation for Windows Desktop apps
  • Fluent English and German language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively
  • ISTQB certification (Advanced Level – Test Automation) is a plus
