**Job Overview**

We are seeking an expert in Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) to join our team of engineers driving the future of Hexagon. As a Digital Reality Innovator - SLAM Engineer, you will be part of a strong, experienced, and inspiring team that uses and develops skills in a highly innovative and diverse environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Perform feasibility studies to investigate opportunities in geospatial mapping and surveying
- Contribute to the development of disruptive products like the Leica RTC360, BLK360, BLK3D, BLK2GO, and BLK2FLY
- Develop real-time capable navigation algorithms fusing image data with sensors such as IMU, LiDAR, and GNSS
- Prototype software modules and evaluate on real-world computer-vision problems
- Collaborate with various teams from different divisions within Hexagon

**Requirements**

- Relevant university qualification (Master/Ph.D.) in engineering or computer science with a focus on computer vision, mobile robotics, or photogrammetry
- Theoretical understanding and practical experience with SLAM/SfM
- Knowledge of state estimation based on fusion of sensor inputs (camera, LiDAR, IMU, GNSS)
- Preferably 5+ years of experience in this field
- Proficiency in software development using languages like C++ and Python
- Ability to work independently and as part of an international team with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong inter-disciplinary communication and cooperation skills
- English written and spoken; German beneficial
