We're searching for a skilled Engineering Manager to lead our Programming Languages team, focusing on web3 technology leadership and product development. As a key member of the Developer Experience (DX) group, you'll play a critical role in shaping Dfinity's web3 vision and driving innovation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Cultivate a talented team of software engineers, guiding them towards individual and collective success.
  • Develop a technology roadmap aligned with business objectives, stakeholder expectations, and technical capabilities, ensuring timely delivery of impactful developer tools.
  • Drive your team to deliver exceptional results by providing the necessary support, resources, and inspiration, while minimizing roadblocks and distractions.
  • Pursue strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to maximize impact, manage risks, and foster a collaborative environment.

  • You have successfully managed Open Source projects, understanding both the benefits and challenges of public-facing work.
  • You have developed and prioritized roadmaps, balancing multiple inputs to achieve a successful outcome.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of creating developer tools, including compilers, parsers, formatters, package managers, debuggers, etc.
  • You tackle challenging decisions with confidence, viewing them as opportunities for growth and learning.
  • You offer constructive feedback to facilitate team improvement.
  • You excel at cross-site and cross-time zone collaborations.
