About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Science and AI Practice Head to lead our Western Europe operations, focusing on expanding our successful Data Practice to meet increasing client demand. The successful candidate will report to the Global Head of Data Science in the US and manage a sizeable team as the practice continues to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Western European Data Science and AI Practice, driving growth and go-to-market strategy in partnership with the global data leadership team
  • Work with other practices and European Business leadership team to expand our footprint across Western Europe
  • Develop and implement AI and ML solutions, including Generative AI, Advanced Analytics, Computer Vision, and NLP
  • Drive practical AI application frameworks, including Data, MLOps, and LLMOps, and participate in Responsible AI, ESG, and AI Security offerings
  • Develop enterprise transformation offerings, with pragmatic AI adoption as a major driver for productivity enhancement and new revenue streams
  • Collaborate with client partners up to C-level to bring AI products and programs to life
  • Support sales and pre-sales activities, assessing Data opportunities and responding to RFPs
  • Manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary European data team, fostering their professional growth and development

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or extensive relevant work experience
  • Strong hands-on background in data science, understanding of AI/ML technologies and concepts
  • Good grasp on AL/ML operationalization, MLOps, Data Platforms
  • Industry visionary, senior leader, and technologist with experience driving Data Science and AI Practices in large consulting organizations
  • Extensive work history across Data technology and business, with ability to interact with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing ML/AI solutions and end-to-end competency development
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders to secure funding or sell ML/AI projects
  • Excellent ability to drive C-level client engagements and demonstrate EPAM's capabilities and market offering
