Lab Operations Manager

As a Lab Operations Manager at CEMEX, you will be responsible for coordinating laboratory activities, managing equipment availability, and ensuring proper execution of R&D projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning lab activities and resources based on the R&D project portfolio and technical support needs.
  • Establishing and adapting working plans for laboratory team members and equipment to meet project priorities.
  • Identifying new research opportunities and novel technological developments through networking with key research centers, universities, and institutes.
  • Conducting training sessions for new employees, laboratory technicians, and interns to ensure compliance with H&S regulations and CEMEX procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, preferably in chemistry or building/construction.
  • Master's degree in chemistry preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar position, with 5+ years in project leadership and technical support.
