About the Job
We are looking for a skilled professional to fill the position of Financial Markets Transaction Coordinator in our Zurich, Switzerland office.
This exciting opportunity involves coordinating the entire trade lifecycle, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation for various asset classes (e.g. Forex, Money Market, Exchange Traded and Over the Counter Derivatives) for one of our long-term clients based in Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade Coordination: Coordinate the creation of financial markets transactions (e.g. FX, OTC, money market), ensuring accuracy and completeness of all data.
- Confirmation and Reconciliation: Manage transaction confirmations with counterparties, identifying and resolving any discrepancies promptly to prevent settlement failures.
- Communication and Teamwork: Liaise with counterparties and internal teams to verify trade details and ensure smooth operations.
- Settlement Services: Ensure timely and accurate settlements.
- Transaction Monitoring: Continuously monitor transactions flows to guarantee seamless processing and reconciliation.
- Issue Resolution: Promptly investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies to minimize financial risk.
- Internal and External Partnerships: Cooperate with internal teams (e.g. trading, compliance and risk) and develop effective relationships with external counterparties to address settlement-related matters.
- Compliance and Control: Maintain robust control measures to ensure all settlements align with internal and external regulatory standards.
- Risk Identification: Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Document Preparation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in trade lifecycle, preferably within the operations department of an investment bank, asset manager, wealth manager, broker, or custodian.
- Prior experience in FX, OTC, and/or money market is desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work accurately and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Effective prioritization and time management skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional client service and adhering to high standards and processes.
- Able to multitask and work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English; German is an asset; other European languages are a secondary advantage.
- Ideal candidate holds a university degree in business or equivalent experience.
- Ideal candidate is open to working in other front-to-back office functions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Holds a valid CH work permit or is an EU national.
