We are seeking a highly skilled Global Health Partnerships Lead to join our team at the World Health Organization (WHO). This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to lead our work in global health partnerships and engagement.
About the RoleThe Global Health Partnerships Lead will provide strategic leadership and vision for WHO's work on global health partnerships, including collaboration with governments, non-governmental organizations, civil society, communities, donor agencies, multilateral agencies, and the United Nations. The incumbent will also develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of global health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with diverse partners to strengthen capacities of affected community networks to engage more effectively in WHO processes in countries and globally.
- Provide expert advice on global health partnerships to support grant investment scoping, calls for proposals, and grant development.
- Act as liaison for the Communities and NGO delegations to the WHO Executive Board with regular dialogue.
- Coordinate and facilitate global health partnerships across the WHO Secretariat in close liaison with the ERC team.
- Prepare briefs for management on global health partnerships and related initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An advanced university degree in public health, development studies or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience working with global health partnerships and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Extensive experience at international level in community and civil society engagement, including with partners based in low and middle income countries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to analyze complex problems and make the case for investments.
