Therapeutic Discovery and Development Specialist

Fibrosis in endometriosis poses significant challenges in disease management. Current treatment options are limited, with most pharmacological interventions focusing on pain alleviation. Recent research has highlighted the importance of addressing the fibrotic aspect of the disease as a therapeutic target.
Our research group at the University of Bern has established a comprehensive approach to addressing fibrosis in endometriosis through the development of 3D culture models and evaluation of antifibrotic drugs. The doctoral student will be responsible for contributing to this effort by working with biomaterials, additive manufacturing, cell culture techniques, extracellular vesicles, and omics technologies.
The ideal candidate:
- holds a Master degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmacy
- has experience with cell culture techniques
- can effectively collaborate with different research teams
- is highly motivated and interested in exploring new technologies
- is fluent in English
- is enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring undergraduate students
