Purchasing Manager - Key Responsibilities

As a Purchasing Manager at Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich, you will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services for our luxury hotel. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and analyzing proposals from suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards and expectations
  • Negotiating cost-effective purchases for all materials and services, while adhering to MOHG guidelines and quality specifications
  • Reviewing proposed products and services to ensure compliance with departmental specifications or standards
  • Analyzing market conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvements
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet business objectives

Purchasing Manager - Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous relevant work experience in a luxury hospitality environment
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and procurement systems
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
