As a Strategic Risk Governance Officer, you will be part of the Private Clients Business Risk Management Central Team in Geneva, responsible for business risk management matters globally.
With a comprehensive offering of discretionary and advisory portfolio management, wealth services, and custody, Lombard Odier has a rich history spanning over 225 years and operates from over 25 offices across 4 continents.
You will contribute to the evolution of the Risk and Control Framework of the Private Client unit, focusing on regions (Front Office) and CP COO Office activities.
Your mission will include developing and implementing central initiatives and best practice standards within CP and the CP COO Office, as well as supporting identifying, analyzing, and mitigating overarching risk patterns.
You will also develop, implement, and execute sample-based supervisory/permanent controls on key operational processes based on both the Private Client unit and Business Information Risk internal control monitoring plans.
The initial focus will be to reinforce the control framework around payments and securities transfers process (instructions & call backs) and execute relevant controls on this topic.
In addition, you will contribute to the execution of the Risk Control Self-Assessment plan and provide support to process owners, execute information Risk & Data Protection controls based on Information Risk & Data Protection unit guidance, and promote the risk culture and increase awareness through risk trainings, advice, and policy enforcement.
We are looking for an individual with a university degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or related fields and at least 3-5 years of experience in the banking industry, preferably in Internal Audit, Internal Control, Business Risk Management, or Risk Control Self-Assessments.
A good understanding of operational processes pertaining to Private Clients, payments, KYC, client documentation, and tax-related topics is essential.
You should have experience in control testing and willingness to design and execute controls, as well as experience in information Risk & Data Protection controls, if possible.
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, plus additional benefits such as health insurance, retirement savings plan, and professional development opportunities.
