Position Overview
Role Summary
The NAVIFY Algorithm Suite is an innovative software solution developed by Roche, hosted on the NAVIFY platform, aimed at integrating and streamlining clinical algorithms of significant medical value into a single access point, connected to our customer networks, including Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
At Roche Information Solution India, we are seeking a dedicated Solution Train Engineer (STE) who embodies the principles of passion, integrity, and courage. This pivotal leadership position within the SAFe framework is responsible for steering and supporting multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to achieve the delivery of extensive and intricate solutions. The STE serves as a matrix leader, collaborating with teams, stakeholders, and other leaders to ensure effective delivery, alignment, and ongoing enhancement within the SAFe environment.
Roche Information Solution India operates under Roche Information Solutions (RIS), a newly established entity within the Diagnostics division, focused on providing integrated digital solutions that promise affordable, high-quality, and accessible healthcare. RIS is tasked with the development and delivery of digital solutions, a unified Diagnostics architecture, and data management. The digital transformation in healthcare is increasingly vital for delivering value to customers and patients, and for shaping the future of healthcare. We are part of the Clinical Insights chapter within the Architecture & Software Engineering function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Solution Train events and processes, including Program Increment (PI) Planning, Inspect and Adapt (I&A) sessions, and PI Planning Retrospectives.
- Coordinate the activities of ARTs and Suppliers to ensure the Solution Train delivers value to customers.
- Assist ARTs in providing value through coaching, mentoring, and guidance.
- Identify and eliminate obstacles affecting the Solution Train.
- Measure and analyze performance to enhance the Solution Train's effectiveness.
- Exemplify Lean-Agile Leadership principles within the Solution Train.
- Directly coach leaders while informally collaborating with other roles to enhance the organization’s Enterprise Solution Delivery (ESD) capabilities.
- Assume responsibility for product development, ensuring delivery aligns with timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints in close collaboration with the LCT Project Lead and Project Management.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive development plan, aligning activities with cross-functional dependencies and project risks while managing the critical path.
- Continuously monitor and report on project progress, costs, and quality against the planning baseline, maintaining project status presentations.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience with large-scale agile delivery methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as WAS and Azure.
- Strong background in Algorithm Development and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).
- SAFe certification is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 15 years of experience in the software industry, with at least 3-4 years in software development or testing.
- More than 8 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or in agile delivery roles (including PO Syncs, System Demos, and PI preparation).
- Knowledge of measurement domains, outcomes, flow, and competencies at the ART level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the healthcare domain.
- Background in healthcare product development.
- Skills in data analysis and interpretation.
