Job Description:
FICOBA seeks a highly skilled Compliance Officer Trade Finance to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trade finance regulations and be able to provide expert advice on compliance matters.
Responsibilities:
- Review new account applications to ensure they meet FICOBA's internal standards, including Client Due Diligence (CDD), Anti Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Tax, and Swiss regulatory requirements.
- Provide support to the Front Office in the account opening process.
- Handle Sanctions (OFAC & EU & SECO), PEP, and AML monitoring alerts and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate audit trails and documentation for all alert reviews and clarifications.
- Prepare files for MROS reporting and authorities' requests.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance Program of the Compliance division.
- Report complex and sensitive cases to the Head of Compliance.
- Collaborate with the Compliance team to share best practices and create efficiencies.
Profile:
- University Degree in Law or Business Administration or equivalent.
- Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Compliance Management, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar compliance role within a bank, including account openings, customers' profiles review, and formal analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements, including AML, KYC, CDB, and other relevant banking regulations.
- Previous experience related to FATCA/QI/AEI, Federal Financial Services Act (FinSA), and Financial Institutions Act (FinIA) is an asset.
- Proven experience and knowledge of Commodity Trade Finance.
