Job Overview
The World Intellectual Property Organization is seeking a highly skilled IP Management Specialist to join its team. As an IP Management Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives and programs on intellectual property management, commercialization, and strategy.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity is part of the IP for Business Division, which empowers enterprises to maximize their potential through intellectual property. You will work closely with stakeholders, including national and regional IP offices, support institutions, policy makers, development banks, universities, and industry associations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Initiatives
- Promote IP for Business Division Tools and Materials
- Organize Events and Facilitate Policy Discussions
- Engage with Member States and International Organizations
- Prepare Reports and Informational Materials
- Perform Other Related Duties
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in law, economics, business management, accounting, or finance.
- At least seven years of experience in intellectual property management, four of which are in the private sector or consultancy.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of other official United Nations languages desirable.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
