Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Bureau members in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities, with a focus on strategic execution, management, finance, and membership engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Bureau in achieving a successful execution of the Strategic Plan, including marketing and communications strategies, revenue generation, and membership growth initiatives.
- Provide overall management of the General Secretariat operations, including supervising staff and developing a strong and cohesive team.
- Develop and maintain transparent and sound financial management of the operations, including preparing annual budgets and regularly reporting on revenue and expenditures.
- Assist the Bureau in identifying opportunities to increase AIPPI membership and engagement, and coordinate communication with National and Regional Groups.
- Demonstrable ability and experience in senior level leadership and management of personnel.
- Experience in fundraising and development for international organisations.
- Ability to work in partnership with a Board of Directors and manage volunteer stakeholders.
- Financial accounting experience, preferably with respect to non-profit organisations.
- Ability to develop and administer operational budgets.
- Experience in managing and motivating people.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Experience in a membership-based or professional networking organisation, an international NGO, and/or a non-profit organisation.
- Experience in managing implementation and operations of IT-enabled solutions providing services to large user groups.
- Knowledge or fluency of languages other than English.
- Some IP knowledge and experience.
The Executive Director will be based in Zurich, Switzerland, and will be expected to travel within and outside Europe. A competitive salary will be offered, along with five weeks of vacation and annual performance reviews.
