Job Title: Senior Assessment Officer Cross-Cutting Unit Support for Afghanistan

IMPACT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Assessment Officer to support cross-cutting research portfolios on Afghanistan. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to research teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality research products that inform humanitarian planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of research portfolios on Afghanistan, including multi-sectoral and inter-sectoral research, real-time monitoring, and emergency warning systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to research teams on research methodologies, data collection and analysis, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the design and development of research tools, including surveys, questionnaires, and data collection protocols.
  • Oversee data collection and analysis, and ensure the quality and accuracy of research findings.
  • Write and disseminate research reports, factsheets, and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including clusters and working groups, to gather subject matter expertise and share research findings.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as research, social sciences, or international development.
  • At least 3 years of experience in research and assessment, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
  • Strong technical skills in research methodologies, data collection and analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in other languages an asset.
What We Offer:
  • Gross salary between 5'500 CHF and 5'700 CHF monthly (before income tax).
  • Contribution to medical insurance of 520 CHF per month.
