Environmental Health and Safety Manager

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing site activities to ensure compliance with all EHS requirements and policies. This includes environmental programs, sustainability initiatives, safety protocols, and industrial hygiene practices.

As a key member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT), the EHS Manager will provide proactive direction to improve the EHS level on the site, ensuring safety and security for employees, contractors, and external companies working on-site.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in an EHS-related field or engineering discipline, with over 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in a leadership role. They should have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical and regulated environment requirements, as well as knowledge of GMP standards and procedures.

The EHS Manager will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing EHS strategies and tactical plans
  • Managing spending and proposing investment
  • Ensuring people engagement and development for EHS culture
  • Counseling and coaching the EHS team and EHS ambassadors
  • Evaluating and acting upon new environmental and safety regulations
  • Conducting and/or participating in local and corporate audits

The successful candidate will bring a solid business and technical knowledge, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. They should be able to lead, coach, motivate, inspire, and influence others to achieve results through others. Additionally, they should have strong project management skills and be proficient in French and English, both spoken and written.

Takeda offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
