Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Python developer to join our team at the D-BIOL Center for Active Learning. As a Python expert for interactive applications, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging interactive graphics in Python-based Jupyter Notebooks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop interactive graphical elements in Python using libraries such as Matplotlib, Plotly, and Ipywidgets.
  • Collaborate with a small team to discuss desired interactive features and propose implementations or alternatives.
  • Work on implementing interactive features that integrate with general Python code developed for non-interactive features.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Python and Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Experience with interactive graphics in Python using Matplotlib, Plotly, and/or Ipywidgets.
  • Team and service orientation.
  • Curiosity and self-reliance.
  • Knowledge of or interest in Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry is a plus.
