Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Python developer to join our team at the D-BIOL Center for Active Learning. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing interactive graphical elements in Python-based JupyterNotebooks.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a project that combines cutting-edge technology with teaching and research. You will work closely with our team to develop interactive features that enhance the learning experience for students in the DBIOL course "Bioanalytics".

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement interactive graphical elements using Python and JupyterNotebooks
  • Collaborate with our team to develop a workflow that integrates interactive features with non-interactive code
  • Assess the feasibility of new features and propose implementations or alternatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with Python and JupyterNotebooks
  • Knowledge of interactive graphics libraries such as matplotlib, plotly, and ipywidgets
  • Strong team and service orientation
  • Curiosity and self-reliance
  • Knowledge of Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry is a plus but not required
