Publishing Support Assistant

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Publishing Assistant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Metadata Management: Inputting and maintaining relevant journal metadata to systems.
  • Enquiry Resolution: Handle general enquiries from within Springer Nature and from external partners, esp. external editors and authors.
  • Administration Support: Ad hoc journal and team administration.
  • Collaboration: Liaising with Editorial and Publishing Assistants in other publishing divisions and units to share best practices and propose improvements to workflows, operations and communications.
  • Industry Contributions: Contributing to the wider Springer Nature Journals group by taking part in cross-departmental projects and initiatives, with respect to publication ethics, data transparency, Open Access policy, and other industry developments.
  • Website Maintenance: Manage and support journal websites - general updates, featured content, etc.
  • Project Oversight: Manage ongoing and ad hoc editorial and publishing projects under direction of publishing editors.
