Scientific Innovation Leader for Cloud-Based Materials Science Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Solution Architect to join our team and drive the seamless integration of 4D STEM, EELS, STEM, and MicroED workflows into DECTRIS CLOUD. This individual will collaborate with globally leading scientists, contribute to shaping the product strategy, build strong relationships with research institutions, position DECTRIS CLOUD at the forefront of scientific innovation, provide expert support to users, and foster engagement within the Materials Science community.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with global scientific leaders to integrate advanced workflows into DECTRIS CLOUD.
- Contribute to the development of the product strategy, ensuring alignment with user needs and market trends.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with research institutions, promoting collaboration and showcasing the benefits of cloud-based workflows.
- Position DECTRIS CLOUD as a leader in scientific innovation, presenting results and solutions at international conferences.
- Provide expert support to users, optimizing their workflows and offering technical feedback to the development team for continuous improvement.
- PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field, with hands-on experience in 4D STEM, EELS, STEM, TEM, MicroED, or general Electron Microscopy for Materials Science.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in Python or similar, to customize and optimize user workflows.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record in driving research collaborations to successful outcomes, focusing on achieving mutual goals and delivering results.
- A wide network of scientific collaborators, ideally with experience in cross-institutional research.
- Ideal experience with cloud-based processing and data workflows, contributing to streamlined, scalable research solutions.
- A results-oriented mindset, thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments while balancing scientific rigor with practical solutions.
- Adept at identifying opportunities for innovation and fostering long-term partnerships that advance the capabilities of the scientific community.
- Willngness to travel frequently (~30%) to engage with users, attend conferences, and support collaborations worldwide.
