Your Role

As a Trading System Engineer at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will be part of a team that develops enhancements and new solutions for our group-wide used execution trading system (FIS Front Arena AMS/OMNI, Avaloq) as well as surrounding systems. This role involves project management work and frequent travel between Basel and Zürich.

Your Responsibilities
  • Define IT processes and workflows within our order routing and trading system, including Front Arena AMS/OMNI (Market Access, Order Routing, Settlement) and Avaloq.
  • Implement, configure, and test new functionalities.
  • Analyze and support business-level requirements.
  • Write documentation.
Your Profile
  • Higher education in IT or natural sciences.
  • 3 years of practical experience in an IT trading environment.
  • Basic knowledge of trading (Eq, FI, Deriv, FX) and experience with FIX Protocol, TLS, encryption.
  • Knowledge of FIS Front Arena execution trading system and/or Avaloq is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with various stakeholders.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Fluency in English, fluency in German is a plus.
