Human Resource Advisor in Emergency Preparedness and Response

Emergency Preparedness and Response are critical components of our humanitarian mission.
We seek a skilled Human Resource Advisor to join our team, contributing to the effective delivery of emergency operations by aligning human resource strategies with organizational priorities.
About UsMédecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an independent international medical and humanitarian organization providing care to people affected by natural or man-made disasters, without discrimination or regard to race, religion, creed, or political affiliation.
The Emergency Preparedness and Support Unit enhances MSF's capacity for emergency response, building on established mechanisms since 2017. This transversal and multidisciplinary approach strengthens emergency preparedness and response, integrating emergency management into all departments and teams.
The HR Advisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring global HR strategies align with emergency preparedness and response framework requirements. This involves:
- Contributing to the design and implementation of HR frameworks and strategies for emergency preparedness and response.
- Strengthening the HR surge capacity in emergencies, including working closely with L&D Unit on the L&D strategy related to emergency preparedness and response.
- Addressing operational HR challenges and risks related to emergency contexts.
This role requires strong experience in analyzing and managing workforce challenges in complex contexts, as well as demonstrated ability to design and implement HR frameworks addressing unique needs of humanitarian crises.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you must have:
- A university-level degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field or equivalent.
- Expertise in analyzing and managing workforce challenges in complex contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement HR frameworks addressing unique needs of humanitarian crises.
Additionally, you should possess strong interpersonal skills, be a team player, and have a proactive solution-oriented mindset.
BenefitsThis full-time position comes with a competitive salary range from CHF 102,180.- to CHF 116,484.- per year, paid vacation, pension plan, and relocation package if applicable.
