About Liom

Liom is a Swiss deep-tech startup dedicated to revolutionizing the field of personalized health monitoring. Our objective is to develop the first health wearable monitoring glucose non-invasively. We will launch our wearable as a consumer product in the EU and then as a medically cleared product in the US. Our team consists of over 70 staff, including more than 50 PhDs, with deep expertise in entrepreneurship, product development, and the required engineering as well as scientific disciplines. We are operating out of our lab facilities in Switzerland and our office in the United States.

Your Mission

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to define and oversee our global financial operations in alignment with our strategy. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our executive team to shape and oversee all financial aspects of the company, including the implementation of our ERP infrastructure required to run a B2C business selling thousands of wearables to our customers. We are looking for a finance leader who thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment and can successfully build up our finance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations: Oversee all financial operations at Liom, including:
    • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for obligations and operations.
    • Accounting and Financial Reporting: Oversee accurate accounting processes and financial reporting.
    • Capital Management: Ensure raised funds are utilized and allocated in the most effective way.
    • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, taxes, and laws, and manage financial risks.
    • Relationship Management: Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and other financial partners.
  • ERP System Implementation: Lead the end-to-end implementation of our ERP system, including requirement definition, vendor selection, implementation, and deployment.
Your Profile
  • 10+ years of finance experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a high-growth company, ideally in the consumer market.
  • Proven experience managing international finance operations in Europe and the US.
  • Proven experience leading the implementation of an ERP system.
  • Strong organizational skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent English and German communication skills, both written and spoken.
